Egmont UK is one of the pre-eminent children’s publishers selling approximately 30 million books and magazines each year. We work with some of the world’s favourite children’s brands including Mr. Men, Winnie-the-Pooh, Tintin, Disney and Thomas the Tank Engine and have an impressive picture book and fiction list that includes such household names as Lemony Snicket, Michael Morpurgo, Enid Blyton, Helen Oxenbury and William Nicholson. We are looking to recruit a full-time editor to work on our Dean list — a vibrant and successful imprint that repackages and reformats books for the value and promotional markets.
 
This role would suit someone who can demonstrate:
 
• experience and knowledge of mass-market publishing
• the ability to work to tight deadlines
• strong interpersonal and communication skills
• initiative and creativity
• excellent skills in copy-editing and proofreading.
 
Experience of working with character style guides and high-profile licensors would also be an advantage.
