Are you an experienced in selling Foreign Rights and speak at least one foreign language fluently?

Our client is a leading packager of illustrated adults and children’s books for the international co-edition market, based in London. This is an exciting opportunity within a busy rights department currently selling over 400 licenses a year into over 25 languages.

You will have solid experience working in rights and you will be fluent in at least one relevant foreign language (German is an advantage). You will report directly to the Rights Director and you will attend Frankfurt and the LBF, in addition to 3-4 sales trips each year. You will be responsible for selling co-editions and licenses to a number of territories, including Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, Greece, Turkey and the Middle East, although the exact territories can be flexible according to the job holder’s strengths.

Your responsibilities will include negotiating the sales, finalising contracts, chasing up language PDFs and plotter approvals, and ensuring schedules are adhered to. You will also be expected to research new markets and develop new contacts.
