Do you have good knowledge of the publishing process with an interest in ensuring effective content management? A prestigious educational publisher, based just a short train journey from London’s Liverpool Street is currently seeking a Content Management Technologist to re-vamp their English Language Division’s content management systems.

You will be responsible for participating in research and the general development of existing ms creation, editing and content management initiatives, will assess the impact of new application versions, provide hands-on input into the set up of initiatives and tools, as well as providing ongoing training and technical support, and the centralised management of all implementations. You will identify training needs, monitor PC ‘builds’ for Publishing and Editorial in liaison with IT and the Content Management Team, and will ensure that Editorial and Publishing Desktop equipment and set up can deliver the needs of the business.

The ideal candidate will be IT literate with a practical knowledge of Word and other processing programmes. Knowledge of publishing industry applications such as Adobe Acrobat, or InDesign would be advantageous, as would a familiarity with XML.
