Our client is a medium-sized publisher of illustrated non-fiction titles, with subject matter ranging from health, cookery, cultural reference, lifestyle and MBS, is currently looking for a PA to the Art Director.

Key responsibilities will include supporting the director on a variety of tasks, including:

• Researching competitor titles
• Creating and updating schedules for the company as well as spreadsheets and databases
• Liaising with out-of-house designers and illustrators
• Sourcing, scanning and re-formatting files
• General administration for the design department

This is a busy role with scope for development, developing large format projects from concept to finished product, handling submissions, liaising with a wide array of designers and illustrators on selection of work, co-ordination and editing.

Potential candidates must be exceptionally organised with strong office experience and excellent IT skills. The chosen person will be able to pick systems up quickly, and able to use databases. With a strong interest or experience in book publishing, the ideal candidate will have a good eye for design and strong editorial skills.
