You Will be responsible for the profitable management and development of the book publishing programmee, generating visionary annual plans and long-term objectives.

Commissioning and steering exciting projects, while carefully controlling costs, you will be able to demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen.

We are looking for a good communicato with a keen interest in engineering and, ideally, with some book commissioning and/or journal management/development experience in the sciences.

This role requires flexibility and diplomacy as well as the ability to manage the expectations of authors, editors and societies. There will be a requirement to travel within the UK and internationally on a regular basis.

Your autonomy will be considerable, and you will have the experience and confidence to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally, and to present information in a clear, logical format. An innovative and creative thinker, you will be ready to make your mark at the outset, bringing an enthusiastic and creative approach to developing your programme.
