The job: A well-established professional publisher of print, CD and online publications and solutions for the financial services industry is planning to appoint an experienced Content Developer who will be responsible for commissioning and managing delivery of content for a range of products. The successful candidate will be fully involved in developing and managing strong relationships with writers and technical checkers, briefing freelance copy-editors, proofreaders and typesetters, and ensuring high standards and schedules are maintained across all products.

The person: Candidates will need a sound editorial background, preferably within a professional or legal publishing environment, and should ideally have experience of commissioning content for various media. With sound project management skills, they should also have the confidence and understanding of business information needs to commission and effectively develop key content. Knowledge of, and a keen interest in, the financial services/accountancy markets would be a positive asset, together with the ability to provide ideas for new products. Computer and web literate, candidates should also have an analytical approach, with the ability to quickly pick up new concepts. Effective communication and negotiation skills, a confident, professional and outgoing personality, plus the ability to work effectively under pressure, and successfully manage a series of projects and a busy workload, are also important attributes for this post.

Salary:  c. £28k pa, depending on experience.
