An excellent opportunity to work within a books\' marketing team as a Senior Marketing Manager within science and technology books. Working in modern offices near central Oxford. You will report directly to the EMEA Marketing Director and have 3 direct reports.

Working within the publishing and sales team your role will be to develop and implement a marketing strategy for a specific portfolio of books to enable these teams to meet challenging growth targets. Knowledge and technical skills required for this role will be: Good knowledge of text/text reference and research/reference markets; In-depth understanding of the book sales process; Marketing communication skills; Budgetary responsibility and financial awareness; Project management skills and experience; High level of computer literacy, particularly MS Office.

Required education and experience: Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field (eg: business, marketing, communications or related field) and/or relevant professional marketing qualification; Experience within a publishing or marketing environment, preferably as a manager; Experience of developing strategic marketing plans and tracking records of achievement through implementation; and sales experience would be an advantage.
