Our client, based in Central London, a leading provider of sales and marketing services to academic and professional publishers, is looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to join their team.

The purpose of the role is to identify core markets and territories for your designated imprints, and to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to reach those markets, with the aim of attaining, or surpassing, annual sales revenue targets. Key responsibilities include: evaluating sales potential for products within your designated imprints and making recommendations on stock levels and discounts; collecting forthcoming title information from client publishers; researching mailing opportunities and producing mailing plans for imprints and groups of titles; researching appropriate conferences and exhibitions for attendance, selling or marketing opportunities; selecting titles for special attention, such as textbook adoption, e-marketing campaigns, website promotion or trade promotions; and to build strong and effective relationships with client publishers and authors.

The successful candidate will have solid marketing experience in publishing within the academic or professional fields; with excellent communications skills and a creative approach. You will have the ability to build effective client relationships, and good commercial awareness.
