Our client a successful global publishing company has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, proactive and innovative individual to join them as a Commercial Editor to run and develop a high-quality scientific/technical magazine brand.

Reporting to the Publisher key responsibilities will include: managing and developing the scientific and editorial content of the magazine brand including quality control, proactively engaging with advertisers and vendors to drive revenue and other commercial opportunities and looking at innovative ways to develop the brand further through new technology.

The successful candidate will have proven journalistic and commissioning skills (preferably within a B2B or STM publishing environment) with degree-level education in an area of physical sciences. In addition you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of relationship-building, with both internal and external contacts, at a high level, is essential.

This role could be based in either Oxford or London and some domestic and overseas travel is required.
