A prominent Oxford-based educational publisher is looking to fill a fixed term contract working on print and electronic products for GSCE level. The Editor/Managing Editor position will be offered on a 9 month fixed term basis in the first instance with the possibility for extension in the longer term. The role will focus on project managing various course components through the editorial production process, necessitating frequent liaison with the company\'s commissioning, design and production teams, as well as external authors.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate sound project management experience, and a good eye for detail. The ability to work to tight deadlines is essential and applicants will be self-motivated, thriving in a team environment. Strong communication skills are important for developing and maintaining solid working relationships, both internally and externally. Experience of working on electronic publishing projects is also desirable, and an interest in education, or relevant teaching experience would be advantageous.
