This prestigious international publishing house are currently seeking a Publisher for a 3 month contract within Journals. The Journals division have a vacancy for a Publisher to oversee the growth and development of journals and an abstract data base. The list includes prestigious company titles which embrace a range of areas including ergonomics and human factors, design, manufacturing and production research. The Publisher, in tandem with the Editorial Director, will manage a four-person editorial team: two Managing Editors and two Publishers. The role demands energy and creative flair, sound commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have previous publishing management and acquisitions experience. A passion for publishing, and market awareness will be an advantage. The successful candidate should be of graduate level or equivalent with experience in academic publishing. A willingness to work with confidence, flexibility, initiative and independence, while playing an integral role in a professional publishing team, will be distinct assets.
