The job:  A global academic publisher of textbooks, journals, professional and major reference works is seeking to appoint a Library Product Manager to join their Library Marketing team. The person appointed will be responsible for growing the profile and sales of their own list of print and online journals and reference products. Working closely with Editorial and Sales colleagues this will involve planning, briefing and delivering a wide range of promotional campaigns including direct mail and email, advertising, conferences and online promotions. The journals portfolio and online publishing business is growing rapidly so this interesting role would offer the successful candidate a great opportunity to contribute to the growth of a high profile part of a leading company in this specialised field.

The person: Ideally educated to degree level candidates will need previous experience of marketing preferably within academic or professional publishing or of subscription based products. Proven organisational skills and the drive to progress several major projects at once is essential and should be accompanied by first class communication skills and ability to establish, develop and maintain good working relations with internal and external colleagues. The role is ideally suite to a committed individual who would enjoy the challenge of working in a fast paced online publishing environment.
