Highly respected institute seeks a talented Commissioning Manager to improve the profitability and financial contribution of the department. 

By developing and implementing editorial strategy the Commissioning Manager is expected to maximise the contribution of the product programmes to the department.  

This highly responsible role must ensure the achievement of a commissioning signing target of £3.5m income over 2 years from new products and new editions.

In addition to the strategic planning element of the role, the job holder is expected to assume responsibility for the financial monitoring and management of the programme, making recommendations and taking action where appropriate to ensure that the programme delivers its budgeted revenue/profit.

You will also be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping of the backlist ensuring that new editions are produced in a timely manner, reprints are initiated in good time, and that decisions are made and implemented for putting titles out of print.
