Based in Cambridge, our client is a prestigious publisher of scientific materials. With award winning technology and high quality research they are passionate about advancing science and leading the way in which it is communicated. They are looking for a talented editor to lead on their flagship magazine.

This role is responsible for further expanding the magazine in print, as well as online and digitally. In doing this, you will lead the editorial processes of the magazine and its print and web derivatives, and take a key role in delivering and developing the editorial strategy. You will act as part of the senior management team and will also manage and lead the magazine editorial team. In addition, you will use your practical editorial skills to commission and write editorials, features and news articles for the magazine and website.

The successful candidate will have a chemical science background and a passion for chemistry. With proven editorial skills in a scientific magazine publishing environment, you will be able to demonstrate your success as a deputy editor or section head. You will have strong business management skills, including responsibility for budgets, plus sound line management abilities.
