Palgrave Macmillan is a leading global publisher of monographs, textbooks, reference books, professional books, monographs, journals and online resources.  We are looking to appoint a UK Key Accounts Manager.

Reporting to the Sales Director, and managing the trade and library sales team, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a management role.

Duties would include:
o planning and implementing a strategic sales plan
o organising the Back to University sales campaign
o building long-term relationships with key accounts throughout the UK, including Waterstones and Amazon
o motivating, training and developing the sales team

The ideal candidate will need to have an impressive sales track record, preferably gained within the academic sector, combined with strong presentation and communication skills. They must also have excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills, and be able to display the ability to build strong business relationships.

Previous experience of managing key accounts in the UK is essential, and some experience of managing a sales team would be an advantage.

Applicants must be in possession of a valid UK/European driving licence.

The position is based in our offices in Basingstoke.
