Our client is a prestigious and well known co-edition publisher of high quality children\'s books (preschool, 5-8 and Books Plus for 7+ age group). They are looking for someone to come on board for a 1 year contract to cover maternity leave.

The role involves:

• Commissioning and project management
• Working with freelancers and packagers
• Liaising with the Art Director and inhouse design team
• Monitoring budgets
• Customer liaison
• Controlling reprints/foreign sales
• Overseeing the editorial team

The ideal candidate will have experience in a commissioning and editorial project management role and be used to high quality children\'s editorial, ideally illustrated reference. They should have a good working knowledge of Quark 4.1 and InDesign.
