A leading educational publisher based in Cheltenham is looking to appoint a Publishing Manager for their Humanities and Social Sciences list.

The jobholder will be responsible for leading the development of the publishing strategy for the market and they will lead and develop a team to ensure that they deliver successful publishing programmes. The Publishing Manager will identify opportunities within the market place and will determine the commercial viability of products. They will have project management skills, and be used to working on projects through from commission to publication.

Candidates should be educated to degree standard with a complete understanding of the all publishing processes. They will have knowledge of the issues related to the subject area and be very familiar with the education system. Previous experience in commissioning, ideally within educational publishing, is essential.
