An internationally successful fiction publisher located just outside London (35 minute reverse commute from Victoria) is looking for an Editor to work as part of a small, friendly, and energetic team.

The successful applicant will work with two other editors at all stages of the process, overseeing manuscripts from delivery to publication. Genres include crime, thrillers, historical novels, romance. The job will include hands-on structural and copy-editing, liaising with authors, agents and freelances, managing a busy list and working to testing deadlines.

The successful candidate is likely to have several years’ editorial experience, a ‘feel’ for plot structure, a good eye for detail, a flair for organisation including an ability to deliver on a tight schedule, and excellent communication skills 

Working conditions are very congenial and occasional international travel is anticipated.
