We have an excellent opportunity at a highly successful, leading London publisher for an Editor to join their team and work on their secondary Science list.

The job holder will be responsible for project managing print and educational products from the early stages in the publishing process to the final product, ensuring titles are produced according to schedule and budget. As Editor, key responsibilities will include commissioning, briefing and liaising with freelancers, liaising with authors, creating costings and overseeing budgets as well as completing research for new products such as spending time in schools and with teachers to analyse student and teacher needs.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within educational publishing and a Science A level qualification or the equivalent would be advantageous. You should have excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills with the desire to produce innovative and effective educational products. You should have self motivated personality with the ability to enthuse others and think creatively.
