Mackenzie replaces Hudson on TPC
15.05.07 Alison Bone
Little, Brown Book Group c.e.o. Ursula Mackenzie has replaced Random House Group deputy c.e.o. Ian Hudson as chair of the Trade Publishers Council. Mackenzie took over from Hudson today (Tuesday) after this morning's TPC meeting, and will remain in office for as long as she chooses.
Mackenzie, who is also chair of the TPC's rights group, said: "It's a great honour to be asked to take up this position on the trade publishing side of the PA and I shall work hard to ensure the key issues are addressed in the fair and reasonable manner so readily exemplified by Ian Hudson."
Hudson, who was recently elected to the vice presidency of the PA, added: "Ursula has played an invaluable role in the work of the Trade Publishers Council in recent years, including chairing its rights group. I know she will do a wonderful job as chair and I look forward to being able to give her the fabulous support that she has so readily given to me."
