Prescott 'working' with publisher
John Prescott has decided to cash in on his decade at the heart of the Labour Government by publishing his life story for a reported £500,000, notes the Telegraph. The Inpependent has that it has already signed a deal with an unnamed publisher.
The former Deputy Prime Minister confirmed yesterday that he is currently working with a publishing firm about printing his memoirs, reported the Telegraph.
A spokeswoman for Prescott said that a book about his time in Government was in the offing. "I can confirm John is co-operating with publishers on a book of his life story,” she said.
Asked about claims that the former Deputy Prime Minister was going to be paid a £500,000 advance, she said: "John has said that is all press prattle."
