Book club choices from Daily Mail
14.02.08 Anna Richardson
The Daily Mail has revealed its summer selection of Daily Mail Book Club Choice titles, with Owen Sheers’ Resistance (Faber) starting proceedings in March. The other titles are Engleby by Sebastian Faulks (Vintage) for April, Tracey Chevalier’s Burning Bright (Harper) for May, Virginia Nicholson’s Singled Out (Penguin) for June, Robert Harris’s Ghost (Arrow) for July and Sue Gee’s Reading in Bed (Headline Review) for August.
All books will be highlighted on a double page spread in the 1st March edition of the Daily Mail’s Saturday supplement, Weekend. Each book will be promoted again on the first Saturday of every month through an interview with the author.
The selection will also feature on the newspaper’s website and the literary pages throughout the month. As previously, the Daily Mail will print a special national book token allowing its readers a 50% discount on the selection at participating stores, and stickers will be provided to retailers and publishers.
