S&S signs the FA’s David Davies
Simon & Schuster UK has bought the autobiography of former executive director of the Football Association and broadcaster David Davies.
To be published in autumn 2008, the book will present a behind-the-scenes look at Davies’ 13 years at the FA, including his relationships with England managers and some of the biggest names inside football. According to S&S, “his is a unique, often humorous, bittersweet story of a true football fan who trod the corridors of power for more than a decade, but never lost his passion for the game”.
The publisher bought world language rights from Caroline Michel at PFD. Sports journalist Henry Winter, co-author of the recent Steven Gerrard autobiography, will co-write.
