Friday Project deal 'imminent'
Talks are continuing this week between HarperCollins UK and independent blogs-to-books publisher The Friday Project regarding a takeover. A deal is expected imminently with HC believed to be mulling a UK version of Bob Miller's US project, which will rely heavily on digital sales and marketing.
According to documents filed at Companies House, the blogs-to-books publisher owes £1.79m. Stephen Franklin of insolvency firm Panois Eliades, Franklin and Company said he expected the takeover to be completed "imminently". "Both sets of lawyers are trying to agree terms," he said.
Directors Scott Pack and Clare Christian were unavailable for comment.
