Bonkbuster buy for S&S
Simon & Schuster has paid a "good five-figure sum" for two bonkbusters from author Rebecca Chance. Divas will be published as a paperback original in September, with Trophy Wives to follow a year later.
Senior editor Kate Lyall-Grant bought world English rights from agent Anthony Goff at David Higham.
The first book is about "gorgeous, trust-fund babe" Lola, who is shocked when her wicked stepmother takes control of her father’s finances and brings her credit card spending to a halt.
"Rebecca Chance firmly establishes herself as the 21st-century heir to the queen of the bonkbusters herself, Jackie Collins," said Lyall-Grant.
