Prince docu-book to S&S
06.05.08 Graeme Neill
Simon & Schuster UK has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, inc ANZ ex Canada, to a multimedia book documenting pop star Prince's 21 sold out concerts at London's O2 arena last year.
The rights were bought from S&S US's Atria imprint. 21 Nights will be published in the autumn and will feature 124 full colour photographs by photographer Randee St Nicholas giving a behind the scenes look at the concerts. It will also include poetry and lyrics from unreleased songs.
The book will come with a CD called Indigo Nights, which will feature songs from the after show concerts Prince performed at the O2.
"We are tremendously honoured and excited by this opportunity to present this lyrical and visually rich book from Prince that captures the spirit and voluptuous sound of his brilliant 21-night residency at the O2 concert hall in London," said Ian Chapman, m.d. of Simon & Schuster UK.
