Clash history from Niven
10.06.08 Benedicte Page
An oral history of The Clash by John Niven, author of Kill Your Friends, has been bought by Jason Arthur at Heinemann. The publisher bought world rights in the book from Clare Conville at Conville and Walsh.
Niven talked to hundreds of Clash fans to provide what the publisher is calling “a unique insight into the greatest rock ’n’ roll band of their era”, exploring how music has inspired thousands of people to live their lives differently. The as-yet-untitled book will be published in 2010.
