Six-figure sum lures Guiliano
18.06.08 Graeme Neill
French Women Don't Get Fat author Mireille Guiliano is moving from Chatto to Simon & Schuster for her latest book.
The deal was struck by Suzanne Baboneau in a pre-emptive deal with Kathy Robbins of The Robbins Office in New York for a good six-figure sum. The new book, as yet untitled, is a guide for women at work and in business and will explore issues including work/life balance, communication skills, leadership, etiquette, risk-taking and personal relationships.
"It will be a timely, uniquely chic and French take on life at work, related very much in the warm and engaging style Mireille brought to her first two books, and full of good and sound advice," said Baboneau.
Atria has US rights, and the new book will be published in hardcover on both sides of the Atlantic in autumn 2009.
