Quinn joins Arcadia
14.07.08 Graeme Neill
Independent publisher Arcadia has hired Andy Quinn, the former manager of Blackwell's Charing Cross Road branch events programme, as its new sales and marketing manager.
Quinn took redundancy under Blackwell's review into shop structures as part of its ongoing turnaround plan. He will report to m.d. Gary Pulsifer and associate publisher Daniela de Groote. He replaces Marina Spyridaki, who left the business in May.
Pulsifer said that he hired Quinn because he could "make things happen" with the business. "He's calm and incredibly well connected in the trade as well as being ambitious in a good way," he said. "We are a small team and he will fit in very well."
Pulsifer added that the publisher plans to add a second member to its sales and marketing team in the new year.
