21.07.08 Catherine Neilan
Wordsworth Editions is to sell 300 titles as e-books from this autumn with the cheapest priced at £1.75. The titles will include a range of poetry, 100 classics such as Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, and 100 international classics, including a two-volume edition of Marcel Proust's Remembrance of Things Past.
Wordsworth's e-books are to be made available to online retailers such as Amazon.co.uk and Play.com from the end of September. The titles are being converted by wholesaler Gardners Books from PDF into the Adobe e-book format and will be stored in the wholesaler's digital warehouse.
The offer will also include around 60 of the firm's Tales of Mystery and Supernatural range. The range, which costs £2.99 in both hard copy and e-version, includes gothic horrors by authors such as Wilkie Collins and Edgar Allan Poe.
