Pratchett goes big - and small

Terry Pratchett will carry out signings for his new novel Nation (Doubleday) at both the Hayling Island Bookshop, the smallest island bookshop, and Waterstone’s Piccadilly, the biggest bookshop in Europe.

The signings will both take place on Saturday 13th September. Random House designed the two events to reflect the themes of Nation, which is set on a small desert island and explores nationhood and cultural identity.

Marie and Colin Telford, owners of Hayling Island Bookshop, which is just over three square metres in size, have promised to go to town for the Pratchett event and make it a "huge small signing".
