Germany launches oddest title prize
Germany has launched its own oddest book title prize, imitating the The Bookseller's Diagram Prize for the Oddest Book Title of the Year.
The Literary Saloon blog spotted the launch: "After shamelessly copying the Man Booker Prize for the German Book Prize, the Germans are now also imitating the Diagram Prize for the Oddest Book Title of the Year with their own German oddest book title ("Kuriosester Buchtitel") prize."
Unlike the Diagram Prize, it includes a few "literary" titles, such as Josef Winkler's Ich reiß mir eine Wimper aus und stech dich damit tot (I'm going to pluck one of my eyelashes out and stab you to death with it).
