Amberley expands into Spain
Alan Sutton's Amberley Publishing has set up a Spanish subsidiary, Ediciones Amberley, with director Leandro de Gabriel-Bernal actively recruiting Spanish-fluent staff to join the Madrid-based team.
Sutton said he was excited about the venture, highlighting the unexploited market in local interest books in Spain. "Most publications are produced privately or by museums and libraries, with little involvement from the commercial sector. I hope to repeat the success I enjoyed in the USA, France and Germany," he said.
His plans for expansion are also expected to take him to Charleston, South Carolina and Tours, France, where Sutton said he expected "to find recruitment relatively easy". De Gabriel-Bernal can be contacted on email direccion@edicionesamberley.com.
