Amazon makes Beedle commitment
Amazon.co.uk has followed its US parent's lead by committing to supply the Harry Potter spin-off The Tales of Beedle the Bard on the day of publication, as it did previously with the Harry Potter book series.
Amazon will deliver both the standard edition and Amazon's exclusive Collector's Edition on its official publication date of 4th December. The retailer refused to say how many pre-orders of the book it had received, but said it was very pleased with advance orders of both the £6.99 paperback and the £50 collector's version.
J K Rowling and the children's charity she co-founded announced the publication of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a collection of wizarding tales, in August. Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the charity.
