CHA renamed Cornerstone Publishing
Random House is to rename its CHA division Cornerstone Publishing. The new name marks the next stage in its ongoing development as a separate company within the wider Random House Group. The publisher said Cornerstone was felt both to reflect the company's existing role within Random House and to express an ambition to build on this in the future.
According to the press statement: "The new name owes its genesis to discussions with members of staff, who were asked to talk about the values they wanted a company name to communicate and who were also invited to make their own suggestions."
The division comprises Hutchinson (publishing director Caroline Gascoigne); Wm Heinemann (publishing director Jason Arthur); Century (publishing director Mark Booth); Random House Books (publishing director Nigel Wilcockson); Arrow (publishing director Kate Elton) and Windmill Books (editorial director Stephanie Sweeney). Susan Sandon is managing director.
